What is a domain name?
Your domain name is your internet web address. The domain provides a simple way for people and the computers they use to find your web site. Like home/office addresses and telephone numbers, each domain name is unique.

Why do I need a domain name?
Registering a suitable domain name is very important. It is the equivalent of registering a company name for the Internet. Anyone thinking about establishing a web presence needs to register a domain name first. You don't have to use it right away, but you can reserve it for your future use since your ideal domain may be taken in the future.

Just like your trade name, logo, or brand name, your domain name is a powerful marketing tool. It should be something customers and businesses can recognise and associate with your business.

Your can promote your domain name on your business cards, letterheads and marketing material. Your domain name is portable. It is independent of your ISP, hence your web address and e-mail will remain constant with you wherever in the world you may venture.

How can I choose the best possible domain name?
Because your domain name will represent your business, you should make sure that the name you choose is reflective of either your business name, geographical location or the industry in which you market your products or services.

How do I know if my desired domain name is still available?
Just go to our form located here, enter the domain you wish to register and his will search the appropriate registry database to see if the domain name is available or not.

What if the domain I want is taken?
Your first choice for a domain name may already be taken. If you have trouble finding the domain you want, try using hypens eg. my-company.com.au instead of mycompany.com.au. You can also try different extensions or use our domain name wizard which will give you alternate domain names that are available for registration.

How much does it cost to transfer/renew my domain with Hosting Buzz?
Transfers/renewals for names are charged at the same rate as new domain name registrations.

How long does the registration process take?
International Domains
.com .net .org .biz .and info domain name registrations take place in real time. Therefore, in less than one (1) hour your registration is processed, approved and entered into the registry database.
Irish Domains
Due to the strict elegibility criteria and rules for allocating .ie domains, new registrations are manually processed during business hours and may take up to two (2) working days for approval.

When will my domain name be active?
Once your domain name has been registered, it usually takes between twelve (12) and seventy two (72) hours before it is active over the Internet. In some extreme cases it can be take as long as one (1) week. This delay is caused by the fact that all internet service and internet access providers around the world must update their records (DNS tables) to reflect your domain name's new server location. This process is called propagation.

What happens if I made an error with the spelling of my domain name?
Once a domain name is registered, it is unchangeable. We are very sorry but changes can not be made to your domain after it has been registered and refunds are not available. This is why we suggest to double and triple check your domain before placing an order.

I no longer want the domain name I registered. Can I get a refund?
No. As per our service agreement, all domain sales are final and refunds will not be issued. Once a registration has completed, you are allocated the name for the time you purchased it for (eg: 1 years or 2 years or 10 years). This is a standard practice in the domain name industry because the registrar or registry does not give MGinternet a refund for the domain name we registered on your behalf. However, when the registration period is over you can choose not to renew the domain to ensure you do not incur any further charges.

Can someone else register my domain name after I registered it?
It is not possible for someone else to register the exact same domain name you have registered because the availability of domain names is verified through a central registry. The central registry prevents a domain name that is successfully registered from being allocated to another person or entity. However, if you fail to renew the domain after the first licence period it can be registered by another person or entity.

What happens to my domain after the initial registration period?
Prior to the expiry of your initial registration period you will be sent a renewal invoice which will give you information on how to renew your domain for a further licence period. As long as you still meet the relevant eligibility requirements and pay the renewal charges you do not have to worry about "losing" your domain name to another person or entity.

Can I renew/transfer my domain through MGinternet?
